CLOs & Community leaders identification & Capacity Building Workshop on 1st March 2016

Centre for Social Equity And Inclusion, New Delhi, has organized  One day orientation workshop for CLOs & community leaders on “Community Mapping & Youth Need Assessment” in Odisha, State, under Change Alliance Corporate Social Responsibility program to Map – Communities – Needs, wants, demands, expectations & aspirations of the marginalized. Information collect included data relating to demographics and economic conditions, educational status, unemployment and entrepreneurship, aspirations, barriers to inclusion, influences (positive and negative), infrastructure available and requirements for equity and inclusion.

To engage & understand CLO capacities & other diverse stakeholders (CLOs, CSOs, Community, Community Youth and others) in understanding the Equity-Inclusion (Perspectives), Local resources, available employability, employment and entrepreneurship opportunities with Private sector, Government sector & others.  Introduction to AA & CSR processes and encouraging effective implementation of these on Equity-Inclusion Parameters in the local CLO context.

Participant’s profile

The CLOs/Community leaders are working at grassroots level among the dalit, adivasi and Muslim communities in districts of Puri, Bolangir, Khurda, Gajapati in Odisha state on different issues like- caste atrocity & discrimination, Untouchability and land reform, child rights, women empowerment, employability, employment & entrepreneurship including use of local skills, etc. Lot of work is being done in the field of micro-finance & SHGs.
